Paid Off!

“Interest never sleeps nor sickens nor dies. … Once in debt, interest is your companion every minute of the day and night; you cannot shun it or slip away from it; you cannot dismiss it; it yields neither to entreaties, demands, or orders; and whenever you get in its way or cross its course or fail to meet its demands, it crushes you” (President J. Reuben Clark in Conference Report, Apr. 1938, p. 103).

I've had the feeling for a while now that we need to get out of debt and as soon as possible. I don't know why I've had that feeling, but I don't want to go against it. After talking to Bryce we've made it a priority to pay off the highest intrest first, which was our credit card. While we were paying off our credit card we've been trying to make double payments on Bryce's car so that we could have it paid off before Christmas. And we did it!!! YAY!! The only debt we have is my car (which we plan to pay that off next year before christmas) and our house. Now we just have to stay out of debt. :)

Good job! We're doing the same thing right now, except that we're doing it so we CAN buy a house! You're definitely one step ahead of us. Oh, make that two since we only have one car. Dangit.

I got the invitation in the mail and its on my fridge now! Way to go on paying of debt. We went from hardly any debt to more than I care to mention over the period of 3 months. So now we're doing everything we can to create money to pay it down too! It's a learning lesson for us! P.S. I am STUMPED on what George and I are dressing up as for halloween. Does it need to coordinate as a couples costume or what? any ideas??

That's awesome! Steve and I are working on paying off our cars too! It's hard work, but it's definitley worth it in the end. And if you had that feeling, that you should get it done, there must be a reason for it.

Such a great quote. Being out of debt is the free-est feeling there is! However... I can't wait to get a house!!! That's one debt I'm looking forward to :)
