My WONDERFUL Husband!

I just feel like I need to say that I LOVE my husband!!! On our second day in New York last week we got some bad news. Worldmark by Wyndham is closing their marketing department. You might be asking, I thought Bryce worked for himself? Well he does, but Wyndham was his biggest client! That was our bread and butter! So, I've been freaking out wondering how we're going to make it. We have some savings, but not alot. But, I have the most wonderful husband ever!!! He got on the phone while we were in New York and set up appointments to talk to a couple different companies. He cut his hair the day we got back, because he said he couldn't afford to not look professional. And He has been working on several different deals non-stop since we've been home. I just love Bryce! I'm so grateful that he is such a hard worker. That he holds and honors his priesthood. I'm also very grateful for our marriage in the temple and I'm so excited to spend eternity with him!!! Thank you Bryce for all of your hard work, I'm so proud of you and I know you will always provide for our family. I love you!!!

New York

We had a BLAST in New York!!! We really do just love it there! We flew out on Sunday the 7th @ midnight and we arrived @ 5:30 am. It was SOOOO COLD!!!! Anyway, we took a death ride in a taxi (I literally was holding on for dear life) to our hotel. We weren't supposed to check in until 3, but this nice man found us a room. We were so grateful, we were so tired that we took a 4 hour nap. When we woke up and walked outside we realized that our hotel was a block away from Time Square!! Since this was Bryce's 4th time and my 2nd time, we didn't do all of the tourist stuff. On Monday we went to Bryce's uncle Glen's house and he helped us plan a couple of things to do. We also went and saw Rockefeller Center and 5th Ave. We didn't do much that night since we were still way tired. On Tuesday we took the subway down to Chinatown. Which for those who know me, know that I'm a GERM FREAK and the subway was so NASTY!!!! While we were in Chinatown we thought that we would try to get me a Prada purse and Bryce a Rolex watch. We found the people who were selling the purses and I told them I wanted one so they said follow me. We walked 6 blocks and they led us down some dark allyway and they wanted us to go upstairs. Bryce and I didn't want to go up but this lady came behind me and started pushing me up the stairs, we finally just walked away. We did go back on Thursday and bought me a purse from someone else. And it wasn't nearly as scary. :) And we also got Bryce a Rolex in an ally with about 4 HUGE guys in the distance watching us to make sure we didn't run away with the watches. On Wednesday we were also able to go to the Late Show with David Letterman, which was really fun!! And Thursday we went and saw the taping for the Today Show. And since we flew home on Thursday night we didn't have much to do so we walked from Chinatown back to Time Square which was 60 blocks!! We had so much fun walking, we weren't in the touristy part and saw how normal life would be there. We would actually save about $1000 a month if we moved there. Rent is cheaper than our mortgage, no car payment, no car or home owners insurance and no gas! We talk about moving there for about 2 years all the time, but I don't think it would really happen, but who knows. Sorry about the novel, there was just so much to tell!!!
There was a little ice skating rink in the middle of the city

What we've been up to

I feel like this past week has gone by so fast! We went down to Cedar City for Thanksgiving to spend time with Bryce's family. We ate really good food, then we played games and laughed a lot! We had a really good time!! It was also really good to see Grandpa Burr and Grandma Nelson.

We got our Christmas tree this week and as tradition, one of my best friends, Aubree came over to help us decorate. She came over the first year we had a tree and we wanted her to come over again. We just love her!! Thanks Aubs for your help!
This is a snowflake that my Grandma Murdock made and she gives them to her grandkids as wedding presents. I have about 15 of them and they are by far my FAVORITE thing on my tree!!!

Fuzz got a hair cut last week. He looks so much better!!

Bryce had me straighten his hair this week. It didn't look very good. I'm now starting to count down the days until he cuts his hair. 26 more days!!

Our vacuum went out this week, so I got an early Christmas present! A dyson!!! I love it!!! I had already vacuumed our upstairs before I vacuumed with the dyson and this is what it still picked up.
SICK!!!! I was amazed that there is that much dirt and hair the my old vacuum didn't pick up!!
It's a dyson animal from Costco. I was surprised that it isn't very heavy and it quite! Well more so than my old one. :)

NYC

This week we booked a trip to NYC for December 7-11! Most of you know that I LOVE New York and I'm so stoked to go!!! We are going to go to Rockefeller Center to go ice skating and see the tree. Also, we're going to go see the Rockettes and my favorite, go to Serendipity. Yeah, it's a real restaurant.  Bryce said I should post this after we have gone, but I'm just to excited!!

South Carolina

We were able to go to Columbia, South Carolina a couple of weeks ago. I know who goes there right? My work opened a manufacturing plant there and they needed someone to go and train the new people, so I got to go. YAY! I wasn't expecting to go and have such a BLAST!!! I love the people out there! The southern hospitality is amazing!! I love that they called me hun, sweetie, ma'am and darling. :) I have decided that one day, I want to move there!!! I love that the city of Charleston has so much history to it. We went and toured a house that George Washington stayed at while visiting the city. It was fun to think that I was standing in the same places that he had! We also were able to go to a Civil War reenactment that only happens once a year(again who goes to that right). I loved it!!! I'm such a nerd, but I started to tear up a little. I really felt like we were standing on Holy ground. We went and toured the main house (which the front was used in the Notebook) and the slave houses. Did you know that South Carolina was still buying and trading slaves until the 1970's!!! Bryce and I were shocked!! It was a really neat experience. Oh yeah, we also drove an hour to North Carolina, to eat dinner one night. Now we can say we've been there too. :) All in all we LOVE South Carolina

Happy Halloween!!!!

We had our halloween party last night and we had so much fun!!! We watched all of the Simpson's "Treehouse of Horror's", played ping pong, snacked on goodies, drank gross witches brew and had fun with our friends. Although, we thought that since we have so many kids in our ward that we would have a ton of trick-or-treaters. Nope, not the case. We had a few, but we bought WAY too much candy!! I guess we won't have to buy any next year. Thanks to everyone who drove all the way out here. We hope to see you again next year!

Paid Off!

“Interest never sleeps nor sickens nor dies. … Once in debt, interest is your companion every minute of the day and night; you cannot shun it or slip away from it; you cannot dismiss it; it yields neither to entreaties, demands, or orders; and whenever you get in its way or cross its course or fail to meet its demands, it crushes you” (President J. Reuben Clark in Conference Report, Apr. 1938, p. 103).

I've had the feeling for a while now that we need to get out of debt and as soon as possible. I don't know why I've had that feeling, but I don't want to go against it. After talking to Bryce we've made it a priority to pay off the highest intrest first, which was our credit card. While we were paying off our credit card we've been trying to make double payments on Bryce's car so that we could have it paid off before Christmas. And we did it!!! YAY!! The only debt we have is my car (which we plan to pay that off next year before christmas) and our house. Now we just have to stay out of debt. :)

Halloween Party

For those of you who don't know me very well... I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! As a kid, I remember wearing a costume to school, trick-or-treating with my friends, and all the candy! But, Bryce and I have noticed that this holiday has lost a lot of its fun since we have grown up and got married. A lot of our friends aren't even wearing costumes anymore!
We have determined not to let Halloween pass us by again! We will be throwing an annual costume party every Halloween. The party starts at 7:00pm. There will be snacks, drinks, music, scary cartoons, ping-pong, and of course, a trophy for Best Costume.
Help us in the fight against being bored on Halloween night! Bring your kids... everybody is welcome! We hope to see you there. Our address is listed below:

A Blonde Moment

Yesterday I was making pizza dough in my Kitchen Aid mixer and I had such a blonde moment. The flour wasn't getting mixed in like it should, so I tried to push the flour down with my hand. **STUPID** Next thing I know my hand gets crushed between the massive dough hook and the metal bowl. When I yanked my hand out of the bowl I couldn't help but laugh a little because I felt so dumb. Then, the pain in my hand kicked in... When I looked at it, it had already swelled up and was turning blue right away.

I went to the doctor today to get an X-Ray done. Nothing was broken, but I have to keep it in a splint for the next few days. Luckily, I have the best husband in the whole world!!! He has taken such good care of me since since I only have one free hand. He helped me get ready this morning to go to the doctor. And when he came home from work, he brought me flowers, chocolates and my favorite thing... the new Little Mermaid DVD (Ariel's Beginning). YAY!!! I LOVE The Little Mermaid! You're the best, honey!

Brooke's Wedding

My friends Brooke and Steve finally got married yesterday. It was a beautiful cerimony at the Bountiful Temple. They make such a cute couple and I know they're going to be so HAPPY!! Brooke and I always talked about how things would go on our wedding days, and I think that Brooke's wedding was just what she always wanted!

It was also Joyce's 23rd birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Joyce!! I hope you had a great birthday!
Bryce and Nic went through the reception line together and Steve's mom thought that they were gay. HAHA!!! I'm not sure if it was b/c they were dressed the same or what. Although, that picture of them doesn't help their case. :)

My sweet mom made both mine and Joyce's bridesmaids dresses. She did such a good job!! Thanks mom for working so hard, they looked great!!
