Stockton's Birthday Party

Crazy!!! We will be leaving for Kansas in two days! And since we will be gone for Stockton's first birthday (May 11th) we wanted to celebrate with our family and friends before we left. So, this past Sunday we did just that, we had a party!

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us! We were very blessed to be surrounded by so many good friends and family.

We have started to say our good-bye's and it is harder than I thought it would be!

Even though we are only leaving for the summer, I start to cry thinking about being gone for so long. Although, we are very excited/anxious to start this new adventure!! So wish us LUCK! I promise to update the blog more often on what's going on.

Life is Good!!!

Things are really busy around here lately. We've decided that things are set up with Coral Marketing for the summer with a manager running things that Bryce doesn't really need to be here. So, we're moving to Kansas City for the summer to sell security systems with our friends Ben and Jennifer Arthur. They have been trying to get us to go with them for the past 3 years, but we've never been able to go because we couldn't leave Bryce's business. We are very excited to go!!! We've always been envious that Ben and Jen get to go see the country, and now we will get to too! We'll be leaving on April 24 and we won't be back until about October. (We have to be back for Halloween!!) We're just going to leave our house empty, but no one get any ideas.....we've already installed a sweet security system!

There is no use in trying to train Fuzz not to beg. Stockton throws food on the ground and Fuzz is right there to clean it up. Stockton is LOVING being able to feed himself!

I've been tyring to cook more often and I thought I would take a picture. I made lemon pepper chicken (seasoning from scratch), garlic rosemary potatoes (from scratch) and asparagus. If I do say so myself, it was YUMMY! (I didn't eat the chicken though) .

All in all, life is busy, but GOOD!!!

Linkin Park concert

Since high school, I've really liked Linkin Park. It was the band that I would listen to when I was upset because they had great beats, but without a lot of swearing. Over the years I've come to like them more and more.

So when we found out that they were coming to Salt Lake we jumped on the chance to go. On Friday we went to the Linkin Park concert. It was like I was 17 again! Joyce and I were screaming and jumping up and down. My voice is quite hoarse today, but it was totally worth it!!! I had so much fun!!!

Don't you love my tattoo sleeve? My niece Emma told me that when she saw me wearing it she thought I wasn't Mormon anymore. LOL!!!

Both Bryce and Nic are obsessed with Linkin Park so they decided to put together a demo cd of their music to give to them. We went to the concert early and Bryce found the sound producer for the band and gave him the demo. We'll see what happens..... :)

After the concert we went to Denny's. There is something to be said about going to Denny's late at night (Erin and Brittany know what I'm talking about). For some reason, everything is more funny there. All I have to say is, what a GREAT night!!!!

Poor little guy! Stockton keeps on getting really bad diaper rashes! I think its because we switched his formula (we've now switched back to the old formula). So now couple times a day, we let him air out hoping that it will help.

New Years Eve. Our friends Ben and Jen had a party at their house where everyone got all dressed up and we drank sparkling cider at midnight. We had so much fun!! (I just have to say, I was so excited to have an excuse to wear this necklace. It was Grandma Nelson's and when she passed away, I received it. I love Grandma!!!)

Stockton's first Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas was so fun this year! Even though Stockton had no idea what was going on, it was still fun to see him look at his presents.

This Christmas definitely had a different feeling. Having a baby has changed the way I look at so many things! As I held Stockton this Christmas season, I thought a lot about the Savior. I thought about how much I love Stockton, and how much Mary must have loved Jesus. I'm thankful that we have this time each year to think not about the gifts, but about the Savior. This was the first year the true meaning of Christmas really hit me. And because of that, this year was the best!!!!

Thanksgiving 2010

Rather than decide where to spend Thanksgiving this year, we chose to bite the bullet and eat two fantastic meals :)

Thursday was spent at my Mom & Dads house. It was the first year my family has been all together in almost 10 years! We played games, ate great food, and took turns holding some cute babies.

The next morning, Bryce and I split up for the day to go Black Friday shopping. Between Kohl's, Target, Babies-R-Us, & The Rack... we saved some serious coin!

Saturday, we drove to Cedar City to spend time with Bryce's family. The dinner was great, but it didn't compare to the vicious game of monopoly we played later that night. (Man the Nelson's can get competitive!)

The next morning, we woke up to a blizzard and spent about 6 hours driving home. Such a fun weekend!
